BP snart ferdig med avlastningsbrønn
Oljeselskapet BP vil snart sette på plass den siste delen av avlastningsbrønnen ved utslippsstedet i Mexicogolfen, sier admiral Thad Allen i kystvakten i USA.

Den siste porsjonen med rør vil bli sementert fast i løpet av de kommende dagene. Etter dette vil BP starte arbeidet med å tette den lekkende oljebrønnen én gang for alle, sier Allen.
Som en midlertidig løsning har BP klart å stanse lekkasjen ved hjelp av ei hette som er festet til brønnhodet.
Før det skjedde, hadde opptil fire millioner liter olje lekket ut fra brønnen, som ble ødelagt i en utblåsning i april. (©NTB)
