Statoil aktuell i Mexico

Statoil skal være blant de mest aktuelle kandidatene når det statlige meksikanske oljeselskapet Pemex deler ut nye kontrakter.

Pemex skal tildele kontrakter til utenlandske partnere og Statoil er ventet å være et av de aktuelle selskapene. Det skriver Upstream fredag.

- Jeg tror Statoil er en stor partner for oss, sier konserndirektør Carlos Valenzuela i Pemex E&P.

Ifølge avisen planlegger det meksikanske selskapet å dele ut fire lete- og produksjonskontrakter i september og mulig ytterligere tre innen utgangen av året. De første vil gjelde arbeid på grunt vann og modne prosjekter.
